Contour Premium Aircraft Seating awarded Air China contract for successful ‘Aura’ Business Class
Contour was awarded the contract to manufacture the ‘Aura Lite’ Business Class product for Air China, to be installed on a total of 26 A330-200 aircraft (10 new aircraft and a retrofit order for 16 further aircraft).
The Aura family offer the most popular products in Contour’s portfolio; with a total of eleven confirmed customers to date. The latest incarnation of the product is ‘Aura Lite’, retaining the functionality of the original design whilst optimising weight solutions.

Contour Premium Aircraft Seating develops Air New Zealand’s revolutionary new Premium Economy ‘Space
Contour was awarded the contract to manufacture Air New Zealand’s world leading new Premium Economy seats.
The ‘SpaceseatsTM’ provide passengers with more freedom and choice than ever. Positioned in a herringbone configuration, the design offers two options; an angled double seat that is ideal for couples travelling together, or a more private option for single travellers. Initially to be installed on Air New Zealand’s B777-300ER’s, the unique design allows couples travelling together to dine at the same table; while also providing extra lounging space when it’s time to relax.
UK based Contour has a strong history of developing groundbreaking new products over many years and is thrilled to add the ‘SpaceseatTM’ to its impressive portfolio.

Contour Premium Aircraft Seating secures large Delta Airlines contract for ‘Vantage’ Business Class
Contour has succeeded in securing a large repeat order to manufacture the successful ‘Vantage’ Business Elite product for Delta Airlines. The Vantage Business Elite product will be installed on B767-400 and 300ER aircraft, with a combined total of 66 shipsets.
The Vantage product continues to raise the standard for business class travel through its innovative staggered layout and efficient use of space. Contour has provided a dedicated area for manufacturing the Vantage seats, and is pleased to be working with Delta again on such a prestigious and significant programme.
Trystan Parry, Senior Programme Manager says “We are very happy to win this large repeat order from a very good customer.
The Vantage seat for Delta offers an excellent balance between a very comfortable full flat seat, whilst offering a high density of seats in the cabin. We designed the seat to make full benefit of available space which is unused on a traditional business class product.
Each seat has direct aisle access which was a very important consideration as we know passengers value immediate access to their seat.
The bed length is over 78” on the standard seats, extending to a massive 83” on the outboard window seats. Long haul passengers love the product and we hear frequent reports of cabin crew having to wake the passenger to land as they have slept the whole way!"
